The bikes are fine, the app is buggy. Can't do anything except he most basic things in the app without it stalling and locking up.
Even though the bikes are far from perfect, sometimes they're so sluggish you feel like you're dragging an elephant. But, you have to consider the fact that Malmö by bike has a good coverage in Malmö and a good support. All at the price of 250 SEK per year. That is easily accessible by any standard
App and service works great, super convenient.
Can't decide whether the app or the service is lesser in quality: it's a tough call! The bikes are frequently low on air, outright flat, poorly functional, or have damaged seats or other random components. Then there are the terminals which sometimes won't lock your bike, so make sure to wait every time. The app frequently reports an incorrect number of available bikes. There's no way to connect the app to an account by ID. And nothing to enquire how your trips were.
I tried several times to report an issue in the app but due to an error this is not possible, so I am writing here as I cannot access a service that I paid for: I took a bike yesterday, 23rd August, around 18:40 from CentralStation and return it around 18:50 in Värnhem. The bike was not registred as returned yesterday as the Värnhem station had an error. Now I cannot take another bike as the system still has not recognized the return of the one from yesterday. How can this situation be resolved?
The app is missing out on the Nobel torget station, the one I use the most. Otherwise a good app to keep track of the stations
Great service, great app. Only one problem though: the first view of the map (right after opening the app) is zoomed out waaay too far. Like, I can see Africa in that map. Really annoying to always have to zoom in to the city before you see the stations :D
One step ahead as a cycling based city not only bicycle friendly. Connectivity in practice.
